Hayden is new to camp and doesn't fit in with the other girls. She'd rather spend time with her counselor Alison who makes her feel special in a way that she doesn't quite understand. But when Alison tells Hayden to make an effort with her bunkmates, Hayden is conflicted. All they ever talk about is boys and she doesn't have a crush on any of them. So in an attempt to not feel like a total loser she invents a fake crush on the oddball music teacher, Mr. Kyle. When the other girls doubt her crush is real, Hayden makes up a series of lies that eventually all come crashing down on her and Alison.
