Violet Karl, a young woman who is badly scarred, sets out on a journey to meet a TV evangelist who promises to heal her. On her trip, she meets two soldiers who befriend her. Although one soldier falls in love with her, Violet must continue her quest which ultimately forces her to accept herself as she is.
