A story about a young couple, Lee and Jack, who have to sort problems of living together while Jack seems to be heading into the recesses of alcoholism. Lee is troubled by Jack's inability, even unwillingness, to find a job. In determined desperation, she goes to visit Jack's parents to ask for money. What she finds out is even more troubling. The difficulty Jack has living in reality stems from the childhood death of a younger brother, and Jack's feelings of guilt about it. Lee struggles with whether she has the strength to confront Jack, and maybe even to walk away from their relationship in order to make it possible for Jack to face his real problems.
