A construction worker lost his home in the housing market crash. With construction at a halt, Charlie finds himself out of work, homeless, and living in a storm drain underneath the Las Vegas Strip. Ashamed, Charlie keeps his life hidden from the person he cherishes most, his 28 year old daughter Jesse. After repeatedly canceling his plans to visit her in New York, Jesse decides to visit Charlie. With only a couple of days to prepare, Charlie must find a fake home in order to keep the truth from Jesse. As he dives into creating this fake life, his real life is discovered by a 16 year old skater kid named Luke, who's trying to escape a troubled home. Realizing they can help each other, they work together to build Charlie’s facade in time for Jesse’s visit. As the lies pile up, they find themselves in a life or death situation and Charlie must choose what is truly most important in life.
