THE SHANGRI-LA CAFE
Synopsis
Las Vegas Nevada 1959 is a tumultuous tme for everyone. Blacks are not allowed to eat in "Whites Only" restaurants/ It's easier for Japanese-Americans to pretend to be Chinese - Americans in order to escape post World War II racism. Emiko and Tad Takashi own the restaurant where the Reverend Charles Osteen would like to have his family dine with the white customers. The ultimate decision Emiko must make, and the effect it has on their daughter, Annie, will change their lives forever.
