In the early hours of the 1992 L.A. riots, Shauna, a seasoned African-American paramedic, and her idealistic white partner Rick, respond to an unknown emergency call. As night falls and the riots escalate, the city turns into a racially divided war zone. Shauna and Rick receive word that dispatch is recalling all rescue units, but Rick disobeys the orders, thrusting Shauna into a hostile and uncontrollable situation that will force her to reveal her true colors.
