Synopsis
THE FRIENDS is adapted from Rosa Guy's powerful award-winning novel of the same name. It is a poignant and complex coming-of-age story about the evolution of a special friendship between two young black women growing up in Harlem in the 1950s. Their friendship endures against a backdrop of inter-ethnic class tensions and personal tragedy.
