During the hottest heat wave in the history of Southern California, Bobby wakes up to find his AC unit stolen from his window. He hatches a plan with his buddy Eddie to rob their boss who has been late on their monthly payments. Along the way, it becomes evident to Bobby that this was never about his lack of air conditioning or his miserly boss, but is a projection of a deeper conflict: his wife leaving him just a few weeks prior. Bobby is faced with the decision to change or to find acceptance within himself as what began as a journey for revenge turns into an exploration of self discovery.
