Invited to what she thinks is an ordinary baby shower, Belle, a corporate success story, is quickly alarmed. Her pregnant Afro-centric sister wants to have her baby at home, and Belle struggles to disuade her from doing so. During an Americanized African birthing ritual, she becomes spiritually re-born.
