Sylvia, a romantically inclined 16 year old, falls in love with her sister's fiance when he visits the family. By becoming instrumental in the breakup of her sister and her fiance, Sylvia learns about love and caring and comes to understand that love in real life can be very different from that portrayed in fiction.
