Sixteen year old Angela is forced into a new life with her estranged father after her mom is placed in mandatory rehab. She has to start over in a new school, a new home, with a new parent and get used to a whole new life. Everything is different than she's used to and just when it's starting to feel more normal, she and her dad have a misunderstanding that leaves him disappointed and her angry. Desperate for the comfort of someone who understands her, she runs away to her mother's rehab, only to discover that her mom isn't there for her after all. Feeling betrayed and utterly alone, it seems that she has no one to turn to when she discovers that her dad wants to give it another try.
