Based on a short story by Arthur Miller. A middle-aged actor finds the past enclosing him as he leaves New York for Los Angeles, his hometown, to make a movie. He is also returning to see his father who is confined in a nursing home. The actor realizes his failings and faces the fact that his father is lost to him.
