Victoria, a repressive artist and now mother to her orphaned sister, Isabella, prepares for a CPS visit to prove her parental abilities, but a mysterious monster, Nahual, with connections to Victoria threatens to take away her sister. As the CPS agent manipulates the situation to his advantage, Victoria is forced to face a painful question of whether or not she even wants to care for her sister. Increasingly emotionally invasive questions from the CPS and a terrified Isabella push Victoria to her limits, Victoria decides to release Nahual... ending in a confrontation with fatal consequences.
