On the day that his wife dies, an aging professional magician searches for meaning in the approaching end of his own life. As the small family gathers, old Mysto the Great locks horns with his alcoholic magician son, whom the old man sees as his greatest failure. Both father and son are surprised to find that underneath the antagonism is a deep understanding and a life-giving love.
