The twists and turns of love, illusion and death are played out in this story of a young woman, Jesse, her brother Brien, and Jesse's husband, Winston Raymond. Through dreams, flashbacks–and forwards–Jesse moves ever closer to an understanding of life and of herself. It is through the evolution of these intertwined relationships that Winston Raymond unwittingly shows Jesse that what she really is pursuing is the truth, and with that, an acceptance of herself. That truth and acceptance ultimately mean their paths may intersect, but cannot be bound together.
