Roberta Statero is a burnt-out engineer in charge of the humane destruction of misaligned androids. When she encounters Ved-A, an android with a severe case of misalignment that includes self-harming, Roberta’s routine is disrupted. As she struggles with reconciling her professional responsibility with her sense of morality, Roberta comes face to face with her own inner demons and must decide if she has what it takes to save her new friend, and herself.
