Forced to assist his hard-nosed father on a day of landscaping work, Macca (23, first generation Sierra Leonean American) struggles to tell his judgmental father that he will be leaving home to attend a prestigious art school. Tensions between the two rise and reach a boiling point over the direction of Macca’s future. When the pair are racially profiled by police in an affluent neighborhood, his young son takes the reigns, changing the course of their relationship forever. The conflict raises questions about what it means to be black in America and the sanctity of the AMERICAN DREAM.
