Lily's career as a fashion designer is just about to take off when she discovers she is pregnant. Before she is able to absorb this fact, she suffers a miscarriage. Surprised by the depth of her own grief, she realizes how much she wants to have a child. In exploring the issues, Lily finds herself not so sure about all the rest-- marriage, friendship, career, traditional families, and not the least of all, love.
