Candela lives in a fishing village where she has only one true friend: Valentin. When it is discovered that Candela has the gift to see the future, her mother decides to hide it from the villagers by giving her an old family remedy: lizard tail soup. Soon everyone starts to notice and try to take advantage of Candela's gift until she predicts her grandmother's death and a fish draght that cripples the village. The priest starts to see her as a threat and wants to get her away from the village and her mother. Finally only a kiss of true love will save Candela.
