In 1980s LA, Linh Tran, a Vietnamese eviction agent, faces a dilemma when ordered to evict Vietnamese refugees. Arriving at their home, she's unexpectedly embraced by the family's warmth. Linh bonds with a young girl whose longing for Vietnam awakens her own buried homesickness. As her emotional walls crumble, Linh must choose: enforce the eviction, isolating herself further from her roots, or stand in solidarity with her community. The decision between duty and heritage weighs heavily on her conscience.
