Sheriff "Emmy" is as dusty and desolate as the Mexican/American border she patrols until she recognizes a miracle - three illegal women become three illegal mothers through divine intervention - and Emmy thought menopause was a bitch. Through the ensuing chaos Emmy discovers not only the cause of the miracle, but the strength to create a family of her own.
