Synopsis
A sultry Spanish film star (Penélope Cruz) and an eclectic cast of actors must rescue a long-time friend after he is kidnapped in the middle of the biggest American-Spanish coproduction of the year, during the Golden Age of the Hollywood studio system. Set in the 1950s, this laugh-out-loud comedy is the sequel to the award-winning and critically-acclaimed film THE GIRL OF YOUR DREAMS. In the film, Penelope Cruz stars as the famous movie star Macarena Granada, who flees the glitz and glamour of 1950s Hollywood to return to her roots in Spain where she has signed on to star in an epic film as Queen Isabella of Spain.The film premiered at the 2017 Berlinale as a Special Gala Screening, and was theatrically released in Spain by Universal.
