John, a men's room attendant in an upscale restaurant, Matteo's, faces a possible forced retirement after more than 20 years of service. Pink slips multiply when the torch of running the family business is passed to the owner's son, Carlo. The staff is on edge, as cutting overhead and increasing profits are first on the new agenda. John's future is uncertain, his job is in jeopardy and his livelihood is at stake.
