From a story by Meridel Le Sueur. Set in the 1930's, a school teacher, prone to visions and daydreams, is driving to San Francisco. She becomes lost in the desert and stops at a ghost town where she agrees to give a ride to a young intinerant cowboy. Their "two different worlds" relationship is dramatically explored.
