In 1962 California on the eve of her homegoing, pregnant Jamaican psychic Marilyn realizes she’s being forcibly admitted to a psychiatric ward by her American husband. Merely seeing the future does not help her in this situation; instead, she follows her intuition – a white rabbit – into her psychic space, where her late mother illuminates her fate if she fails to act. Upon returning to the "real" world of the hospital, she confronts her husband and they decide to leave the hospital together. She stops in the restroom, where she makes a Hail Mary decision to escape through the window.
