FROM THE HEART is the story of how one young woman reconciles her strained relationship with her dying mother. In an unusual twist, the daughter takes a detour back in time–to 30 years ago–when she stops to help another woman whose car has ran out of gas. Although she doesn't realize it at first, the young woman she helps is actually her mother as a young woman. During this innocent encounter, the daughter is able to resolve misunderstandings and bitterness that have clouded her relationship with her mother. In so doing, she discovers just how much her mother really means to her, and how hard it is to say good-bye.
