DROPPING THE BOMB ON MY STREET
Synopsis
DROPPING THE BOMB ON MY STREET is a quirky, dark comedy set in 1952 Santa Rosa where a 14 year-old girl must face the daunting specters of the atomic bomb, encroaching communism and Mom all at the same time. Taught to "duck and roll" in school, the students continually practice for an impending blast. At home, Mom is obsessed with spies, communism and the possibility that her daughter will become infected with socialist inclinations if she goes to the movies. Bomb fantasies obsess everyone, but the barbecues continue.
