For young Sam, the world is a sad and frightening place. His father has gone. His mother is entirely consumed by depression, He has no one. No parent to clean his clothes. No Ally to ward off the bullies at school. And no Hero to defeat the terrifying Laundry Monster that dwells in his basement. Whilst the mountain of Dirty Laundry grows larger, the insults at school grow meaner and the roars of the monster grow louder. As he tries and fails to find someone to aid him, Sam is left with no other choice: He must brave the Laundry Monster... alone.
