Terminally ill Warren lives out his time trapped in a lonely hospital room, each evening crossing off another day on his calender; one less closer to the end of his life. Warren's world soon changes when another patient, Ross, afflicted with lung cancer, is wheeled into the room. Ross tells Warren of his last wish, to feel the fresh air on his face. Late that night the two old men devise a plan to sneak out onto the hospital roof. A plan that will require taking risks, and more importantly rediscovering the courage within.
