Ben has just lost the love of his life, Anna, but he is determined to win her back. He sets off on a journey to learn the guitar so he can write her a love song and serenade her into coming back to him. He gets some help along the way from Albert, a poetic guitar shop owner, and Seritou, a once-famous musician from Senegal who gives him songwriting lessons.
