CLINIC E is a black comedy about how the power of denial can lead to destruction. Jack Everhart, a man in his 20s, receives a letter informing him that one of his ex-lovers has tested HIV positive. In a panic, Jack takes the HIV test. It's his first time. He never thought he was at risk, even though he'd had unprotected sex with men and women. As he pursues a ridiculous, fruitless search to identify the sender of the letter, he gradually learns what a fool he's been. By the time he gets his results, Jack may have learned something, but life still has some nasty tricks up its sleeve.
