Gabriel is an outcast from society forced to serve as executioner after being branded a thief. As a boy he is handed the axe and forced to take the life of his own brother. Now he lives with that grief with every swing of that axe. When Travis, a young street urchin who is his only connection to the world, is arrested as a thief, Gabriel is forced to examine his role in the system.
