Synopsis
A documentary on Bill Lear, this film is a portrait of the man as an inventor, and his work on a pollution-free steam engine. It is a revealing study of an individual who might well be considered the Thomas Edison of the electronic age. The film begins with the failure of a device which Lear is testing. He and his engineers discuss the problem and come up with a possible solution. A new unit is built and tested successfully. Departures from this story include biographical information and interview material, which amplify the nature of the man and the character of his work.
