Al Kelsey goes to an acupuncturist and relates his sad story of aches that haunt him due to his recent divorce and uneasy relationship with his son. Al's son, Bobby, buys a new ax in a hardware store and dreams of chopping down trees while he sleeps. Al goes to his son and ex wife's house. He and Bobby try to talk about their separate lives but fail. They hear footsteps and Al hides.
