A heavy 12-year old painter in a drab small town struggles against all odds to be true to his passion as a painter. The boy comes to realize he needs his mother as much as his paint, and he paints an amazing advertisement on a billboard that saves his mother's bakery, wins her understanding, and gains the respect of the town.
