Alyce, a recent transplant from New York, accepts the help of her fast-talking, talent agent brother to land a job in Hollywood. Within minutes of arriving, Alyce has to learn the strut and smarmy fakery crucial to getting somewhere in the film industry. According to her brother, the job will transform her life. But Alyce doesn't want her life to be "transformed," and her brother's dogged attempts to make her over only make L.A.'s zaniness all the more stupefying. Finally, Alyce gets an idea, and Hollywood will never be the same.
